bio.

pest. is the new brainchild of Canadian artist Noah Monckton, who has spent nearly a decade carving out his place in Canada’s rock world. No stranger to the stage or the studio, earning previous recognition for his writing, including a John Lennon Songwriting Award and headlining sold out shows across Canada as an indie-rock front man.

After a decade in the industry, he has decided to cut the frills and focus on writing music that represents being confidently flawed and recognizing imperfection. The new collection of songs, influenced by artists such as Weezer and Queens of the Stone Age, show that it is obvious he and the experienced band behind him learned a thing or two over the past decade. Blending unique guitar riffs, creatively fractured song structures and lyrics that hit head on, they have created a timeless sound through fearless experimentation.

pest's debut EP, out later this year, brings a collection of songs for the 1990's rocker babies looking for a new listen to add to their collection. This is music that will hit hard from the first listen.
